What started as a BBQ-inspired road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. DeAndra and Scott drove through Atlanta, Chattanooga, Memphis, Kansas City, and St. Louis, ending in their favorite city, Chicago for Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour. On their second day in the city, Scott had something extra special planned: a surprise photoshoot. It was chilly, and DeAndra almost wore her tennis shoes, but Scott convinced her to dress up a little more.
Then Scott was being weird and wouldn't let DeAndra get her lipgloss from her bag, Little did she know the ring was in there!
With DeAndra oblivious, they strolled three blocks to the photoshoot location, laughing and soaking in the city’s skyline. After a few photos, Scott said he needed to “set the ambiance.” Moments later, Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love began to play, really getting them pumped for the photos and concert later that night. As the music played, Scott got down on one knee and asked DeAndra to marry him. Through tears, she said, Yes!
Hand in hand, they walked to Soldier Field, hearts full, talking about their hopes, dreams, and the beautiful future they were beginning together. The night ended in pure magic, dancing and singing along as Queen B herself performed, sealing their perfect day.
